Here's something for you to research: The Esa Tikkanen hazing story. That's pretty much what I'd be put through. Maybe worse.

I see it way more likely that klefbom starts the season in the ahl or belov will start as a 7th. You are a very impatient person Rich. Let the prospects develop and bring in immediate talent elsewhere

If Belov puts up 25-30 points this year and isn't a complete tard in the defensive zone, then it's a great signing. Maybe 30 points is a bit too high to expect.

I wouldn't call Smid that tough, he isn't a great hitter by form although he hits. He does have a mean streak but I don't think many players are that afraid of him. Could be wrong though. In comparison to the rest of our blue line, he is tough. I like Smid, but I'd prefer to have him on our bottom pairing long term.

Fedor Tyutin would be a good pickup.

But Clouts, you were sooooo sure they were gonna sign Streit. Guess you aren't as brilliant as you think you are.

I still believe the Klef will start in the AHL..and more than likely stay there to develop. I see Fistric staying and Potter Moving on. Opposing teams are afraid of those explosive hits. The book is still out on Belov. I believe he is on a trial basis hence the 1 yr contract.
Its nice to see some action but we still need that hard hitting shut down defenseman. If we can't protect our own end we will never make the playoffs.

Fistric is a keeper. Esp for the Oilers. Hes big and mean. Something you need. He will look alot better when the rest of your D squad rounds itself out. I think hes great for you guys. If this Belov fellow puts up 15-20 pts with 4-5 goals and isnt a disaster its a win for you guys for sure. I hope EDM doenst rush Klef.. Let him develop. He looks like hes gonna be a solid NHL player. I hope Mac T lets him develop.

On a side note. If LA doesnt or cant resign Rob Scuderi. Sign him for the moon. Hes great for the youngsters.

Even though you lied about saying the Oilers were always your favorite team, and you wanted to work for them since 79' (Because I definitely remember you saying you used to be a Flame's fan) I believe you deserve a job with the Oilers. I dont think it push's him out. But I think it says one of a few things. One they know he wants more or the same amount of money.

Or the other, they know they can retain him for less.

But with all that said. If they know he wants more maybe holding onto Regehr helps them with keeping Voynov.

Klefbom is as important to the Oilers future as Justin Schultz is. I think he'll be paired with Schultz and be playing top pairing minutes by the end of the season. I don't care how young he is. He's that good.
